Albizia julibrissin
I think this is a flower on an Albizia julibrissin tree, or at least a member of the Mimosoideae. Apparently they are commonly planted in Europe as an ornamental tree, being fast growing, pretty and relatively drought tolerant. In the US they are considered a invasive pest so less commonly planted.
There are several of them on the way to and from the hippodrome and they have been in flower for a few days so I remembered to take a picture of them.
Back blip.
