Held in gossamer
Thanks once more for all your kind wishes - and the lovely comments about Lili. She is indeed the best tonic!
Of course it’s wonderful to be home, and whilst my sleeping habits are never likely to provide an eight hour sleep, it’s a gloriously peaceful night. Pain killers largely keep discomfort at bay and I wake up feeling surprisingly comfortable.
It is, unsurprisingly, a very quiet day. There are phone calls from friends and family, and I manage a slow walk around the garden looking for possible blips. My back is very sore, and movement is restricted, but my legs feel so much better which is wonderful, and I manage to find a little group of seedheads held in gossamer threads.
We have tickets for an open air performance of Hamlet at Conwy Castle, but needless to say, I decide it would be foolish to attend. G goes with our neighbours, leaving me to just rest and watch a film - I choose Operation Mincemeat.
