First

One of those days with lots of pottering around on insubstantial things like cutting back brambles (and harvesting the brambles), pulling weeds and thinking about how to fix the falling apart compost bins. Nothing that you'd think would be things to take photos of. None were taken so 11.30pm and you turn to your left and take a photo of the amp.

Bought quite broken off eBay (one channel not working, bulbs blown, switches falling off and pots all crackly as hell, case badly scuffed) but an interesting exercise is tracking down the busted transistor and replacing it, making a new case, cleaning it up and making it sound probably as good as it did in 1975 or so when it was made.

The company (or at least the name) is still around - www.leakaudio.com - and you can have their fancy new amp for £1700 or you can find an old one for about £40-80 depending on how knackered it is.
