Behaving himself

Bailey allowed me to have a bit of a lie-in today on the last day of the summer holidays. There was no real rush to get up as it was wet first thing, including on Bailey's first walk but was warm and dried up pretty quickly once we got him. I nipped out to the supermarket to collect an order and bought two heucheras for the front pots. I'd been thinking about going to a garden centre so it was good timing that they were in stock. I planted them up after lunch with Bailey's supervision. He was trusted to stay put when I went back in to the shed and he stayed put. Which was not what he did when I went to put something in the car after tea and he took off and ignored me calling him back (not that that was a surprise!) I caught up with him on the grassed area over the road and he won't be trusted again any time soon. 

It's been a day of doing little jobs, tidying the house and getting set to go back to work tomorrow.
