Even if you don't like the taste (they're lovely mixed in with mashed potato, or roasted alongside potatoes), Jerusalem artichokes are worth growing for the spectacle. These are about 8' or 9' high and will soon all have bright yellow flowers on them. They're also really had to get rid of once you've got them as the tubers scatter underground.

It's been an unexpectedly warm day today, so it was nice just to chill before the big adventure starts tomorrow. Although I'll be fine once we get there I'm one of those people who likes to leave plenty of time for beers airport logistics and like to arrive as early as is practical for a flight. Himself is the opposite so travelling is always a bit tense. I still think the easiest way would be for both of us to do our own thing and then meet on the plane. Or possibly even at the other side as he likes to put his ear buds in and I like to poke him and tell him what Mavis in the seat behind is up to.

I have an 11hr flight and a -8hr time difference so who knows what or what time I'll be blipping tomorrow. If you follow me on Facebook (don't judge, I'm old) you may get interim updates.
