Ameland

Annemarie and I went to Ameland today.
Our final day trip this holiday season is with the two of us.
We took the ferry at Holwerd at 8:30 and started touring the island one hour later.

Our route was Hollum, coffee - lighthouse - beach - back to NES for lunch at Van Heeckeren, on to the Kooiplaats for a walk in the dunes (not a single parelmoer vlinder), to the beach near Buren for a drink, on to NES for dinner at Metz Fish-palace and then back to the ferry for Holwerd.

A great day, we cycled over 50 kms and once home, my head was sunburned like a tomatoe.
