Cramond Ho!

Another CiC, yes a cruise in company, this time all the way up river to Cramond. And a very fine day for it. Well, in terms of weather - I was aware it was quite neapy and it’s not a deep channel. Indeed, having dropped our sails and approached the bar (not the club bar, though we did get there) I could see a few boats seemed to have come to rest in various positions. Onward we crept.. Papillon ahead of us did an about turn to avoid the carnage. We did likewise and then proceeded after them once again. Smij to the left, I mean port, Gannet on starboard and over past the final pole and the bar - we made it. Evelyn who was spectating from the quayside gave a whoop. Derring-do or what? And then we tied up, a tight squeeze - and there was no ladder. We scaled that wall like young ‘uns. The CBC BBQ did await.
We cast off for home not long after high water - eight boats instead of twelve that had set out and nobody was for hanging about; and a fine NE blow it was.
Right, time to pack. Northwards we must go!
