After the Rain….

Phew! What a night. Very heavy rain, lightning and grumbling thunder until 3.am or so. I slept through the later part of the storm. Marigold, who was very scared of the thunder, curled up close to me. A dog-walking friend told me his 40kg plus dog was terrified and spent the night on the bed between him and his wife. They didn’t get much sleep. Doctors Creek, shown here, was in flood as were the lower reaches of the Taylor River. However a brilliantly sunny day followed, warm and very spring-like for the first day of spring.
