Serious business

The first of a couple of catch-up back-blips from the last part of our week away in Anglesey. I really was out of it for a while, with the gastric bug. Marianna wasn't 100% well either, and in the end we concluded that Frieda, she and I had all had versions of the same gastric infection.
However, on Friday I did get down to the beach in the afternoon for a while.
I never get tired of watching small children building tiny dams with rocks and sand - it's immensely soothing. Such seriousness, such joy.
This is Frieda, Euan and Luca in a moment of contemplation and collaboration.  Euan, at 3, has been doing well to keep up with the two older ones; really he wanted Frieda to himself, but he and Luca mostly managed to rein in their combative impulses.
