Men's sheds, Tobermory style
Mr hazelh and Richard 'played out' most of the day. This gave me the opportunity to work some of the way down my current 'to do' list. My first task of the morning was to take four kitchen chairs to the Men of Leith men's shed for repair. I photographed the Tobermory style storage in the men's yard for my blip.
I spent the rest of the morning in the garden treating our 'bare' wooden garden furniture* (following up my work of 4th August), while listening to The missing Madonna on BBC Sounds. The first coat needed four hours to dry before I could add the next one. During this time I worked indoors on outstanding admin tasks, most which were work and auctioneer-related. It was soon time to pop outside again and work on the furniture once more.
This evening we took Richard out for drinks in the W hotel rooftop bar, then a superb dinner at L'escargot bleu. The latter included chocolate nemesis for pudding - delicious! The arrangement had been that our guest would pay for the meal and we the wine, but somehow that didn't happen. Thank you Richard!
*I almost didn't manage to start this work because I couldn't get the top off the bottle of Ronseal. With no Mr hazelh on hand to help me, I had to ring the doorbell of my neighbour Mike to ask for his assistance instead.
Exercise today: small amount of walking (~7k steps).
