A right old full day of it.

Up early and out on the bike for some hard local miles in an attempt to get back to some level of fitness.

And then over on a packed Scotrail service to Glasgow to have lunch with our two girls who now have their homes there. A leisurely time of it over coffees and Italian sandwiches at Smile (just near GSA, we've been before, thumbs-up all round).

They went off to do their own things and we wandered down to Kelvingrove Park for a bit more fresh air and sunshine and another cafe stop before heading up to our youngest's flat to re-meet up - the first time we've ever been invited round for food by either child in their own place - and it was delightful of course, very lovely indeed chatting to her and her friend/flatmate.

The main reason we were through in Glasgow today of all days was for the Bonnie 'Prince' Billy gig at QMU. Now, I'm not sure I've ever really considered whether he was a good singer or not but tonight he was in absolutely spectacular voice. Seriously good. He was great, his band were great. So glad we went!

On another packed Scotrail service back to Edinburgh as I type. Think we'll be back home for midnight - I'll take that.
