Liberty Print

I love the Liberty history, quality snd style. This is a print of an early Liberty fabric of which I have a small collection.
A wonderful day visiting specialist gardens in Anwoth and Kirkcudbright in the Scottish Borders. It’s taken a while and various cancellations due to weather but we got there with a little determination. The first garden was owned by two dedicated crevice gardeners who develop the original Chzeck invention of planting mainly Himalayan plants into crevices on cliffs by means of abseiling. They modified this approach by building mounds of sand and quarried stone in their own garden. They are much in demand as lecturers and demonstrators of this technique. The second garden is a complete 2 acre labour of love with most plants grown from seed. The garden owner is so knowledgeable and I just wanted to have her to myself without interruption for the afternoon. Both visits ended with tea and home made cakes and scones then we were invited by a neighbour in Kirkcudbright to look at her newly planted garden. So many ideas and so much knowledge- I loved every second and look forward to their visits to our garden in the spring.
