My dad, the legendary GG is 90 next month. So rather than brave Cornish weather and family politics what better way to celebrate than to take the guy to Malaga. His first time abroad since leaving France in 2022.

We spent the day at the beach, slightly fired in 29 humid heat then quick shower and to the airport. Rather emotional seeing him come through the barrier. Taxi to the apartment, then out for dinner at our favourite Cala Lola. What a hoot trying to order tapas with my gros gourmand pa, not quite getting the concept of pinchos. Had a fight on our hands but so much food and fun was had. Introducing my nearly 80 year old step mum to Aperol Spritz so it was a very merry wander round the Saturday night Malaga buzz.
I love this city and so glad so far, they do too.
