What intelligence

This little fellow worked out that I had  moved the bird feeder onto a long metal rod to keep it out of reach of a pigeon.  He just found out the new route overhead.  I saw him arrive at the feeder at 6.30 a.m.  He froze when I approached with my camera.  He knew his route home was long and dangerously exposed so he just stayed where he was and waited till I moved  away.
