Hempstead

There was an art fair going on in Hempstead village hall today so I drove over for a look especially as I knew that a friend was exhibiting his work there.  Lots of nice work on display and one or two that I wasn't keen on, but then everyone has their own taste.  The artists themselves weren't in attendance but there did seem to be a fair few people buying pieces.

I hadn't visited Hempstead before and was pleasantly surprised; an attractive rural village.  I parked next to the village church and took this shot of it.  An interesting building that looks as though it has been much altered and added to over the years.  What cannot be seen in this shot is that at the far end there is a squat red brick tower which looks rather out of keeping with the rest of the building.
