Here is one of my favorite stones - Larimar. It's a recently discovered earth healing stone - found in the Dominican Republic/Bahamas. They just wash up on shore.

This blue form of the mineral pectolite is believed to have been affected by volcanic ash thousands of years ago, giving it the unusual blue sheen.

Larimar is a complete nourishing stone and offers a connection between the mind and heart. It offers tranquility and often used as a meditative stone.

Personally - I love the feel of it and the color is just beautiful. This piece was not cheap - but it was worth the price. Who knows how long they will continue to wash up from the sea...how much is actually left out there.
