Riding the waves

Almost ! I suspect this man was just learning to surf or perhaps the conditions weren’t good for surfing but he swam out with his board several times and didn’t manage. There were red flags up and he was alone unlike previous times we have visited the vast sand dunes on the outskirts of Corralejo. On previous occasions we have seen dozens of kite surfers taking advantage of the Fuerteventura wind.

The extra shows a view from the road looking away from the sea towards distant mountains. It is amazing anything grows in this environment.
