Friday: Black Dinner

We did a bit of a social media thing today, wherein we invited a young Belizean about to go to the UK on a scholarship to try some British food and I tried some new Belizean dishes.  

We made Albert, our young scholar, try toad in the hole, followed by haggis.  I, in turn, tried chimole, also known as black dinner (seen here), and darasa, a Garifuna dish involving a whole pig tail.  For social media purposes, we declared each dish to be yummy, privately I was less convinced.
