Summer in the city
This morning I walked along the little canal near my house to have a look at a small island behind some high rise blocks where sometimes fairly rare flowers grow as it's left alone. On the way back I stopped off at the innovative old folk's home for a coffee. In the big well lit hall there are all sorts of activities for the residents as well as locals, and a library. I enjoyed being the only person with a mobile phone (and that is my camera). I was contemplating the different ages in one person's life and in my own, and the different generations. The oldest of the residents sitting there all had a crease in their trousers and polished leather shoes. The youngest, in their seventies, wore jeans. Soon Mick Jagger will be playing "I can't get no satisfaction" in the residential homes, and funny smelling tobacco be smoked in the corridors.
