Harvest time

I was up early this morning, I wanted to get into the garden to cut the hedge & generally tidy it up. The broad beans are over so I cut them off & left the roots in the soil. J cut the lawn so it all looks much better now. The runner beans are producing at last & we had two strawberries off my flog-off plants that I bought 6 for a £1, there are more coming if I get to them before the birds.
They started combining the fields surrounding us at midday, they’re about half way through so will be finished tomorrow I guess.
I had a hair appointment this afternoon, I’m not sure I like it shorter but it grows quickly so won’t be short for too long.
I picked C up & we went to see Mum, she recognised us today but her speech was quite muddled which annoyed her when she was trying to talk to us.
It’s been a lovely warm day.
