Boarding

Heading to the office this morning, I arrived at Wimbledon and found the Edgware train was already overcrowded. So, I opted to wait for the next one and was first on the train. I took a seat and waited for it to fill up. This one wasn't quite standing room only when it departed. I believe I made the right call waiting.

I got off at Shepherd's Bush so that I could get a coffee from the Caffe Nero. The walk to the office is better for me than the shorter version from White City. A coffee on the way in has become a habit. I'd broken this excuse to spend when I worked my last job by taking my own coffee, primarily because the only option there was the shop on the platform at Twickenham station, and I didn't always have time to queue before my train arrived.

Gareth had come down for today's Town Hall and was going for a few beers after work. C and I had Thirsty Thursday plans, but I asked if she'd be OK to bump the meeting time by about an hour. Given we always stay until closing, I didn't think she'd care. In the end, we decided to postpone to next week.

Of course, the evening stretched on towards closing time even after most people had left, but I didn't miss the last train (even if a bus was needed from Wimbledon).
