Bournemouth Pier
Today we drove along to Bournemouth and visited the Russell-Cotes museum and art gallery up on Westcliff away from the Bank Holiday week-end tourists and traffic. The museum is housed in the Victorian seaside home of Merton and Annie Russell-Cotes where their collections from their travels around the world are on display together with their art collection. The house is impressive and very Victorian with several floors and views of the sea. There was also an exhibition of Albert de Belleroche whom I had never heard of before, he was a friend of Degas, Toulouse-Lautrec and Renoir and many of his lithographs and drawings had not been shown in public before.
Extras: Russell-Cotes Museum and view.
