Adlerbrunnen, Esslingen

The original fountain dates back to 1360 and has been remodelled over the years.

Today it is a war memorial topped by a stylised eagle. This is the view from the back. There is something about the stylised tail feathers and wings which looks more sculptural/abstract from this point.
