Mr Poppy - messing about on the river

A lovely Basin bob with 2 Ms and several others. Swam to the sailing club and had a chat with Mr Poppy, who was proud to tell me that his boat was the subject of a painting by a local artist. 

Ideal forecast for a day at the beach, so opted for Bradwell. We took a wrong turn, but after following satnav through a farm we made it to St Peter's church. Tide was out, so no further swimming, instead did a painting of the church and enjoyed watching the shallows darting about. They were busy feeding a brood in the church; thrilling to watch! Then, after a successful butterfly count and feeling hungry,  we found a cafe named Bits 'n Bobs. Busy with locals initially (a good sign) and a menu which included cumberland sausage and goats cheese, very reasonably priced and great atmosphere. Ticked all my boxes. Definitely somewhere to return to.

Planned to run with Soul Runners, but relaxed on the couch with a cuppa and drifted off to sleep, only to be woken too late to run by G, back from Southampton.
