What a racket!

This poor chap had a very noisy lunch.  These teenage gulls screeched at him the whole time in the hope of a crumb or two.  They are such pests!

Birds are in our bad books.  The smell in the library was even stronger and to me smelled a bit like a pet shop.  We called in our Estates Team to try and figure it out and the disgusting problem turned out to be the whiff of bird excrement on the roof being pulled around the library via the air vents on the roof.  Yuck!  They turned those vents down and will be getting the roof cleaned.  We are all rather disgusted at having been breathing that in for a while!

Thankfully I am not in the office until next week and I hope the whiff will be well and truly gone by then.
