Name that dish

A couple of friends have decided to set themselves up as restaurant reviewers, so Sarah and I went along to give different perspectives.

It was a Chinese restaurant; my friends are extremely adventurous eaters so they requested the alternative, more authentic menu. Sarah and I stuck to the anglicised version and the food was absolutely delicious.

This is one of the alternative dishes - a little esoteric for Sarah and me. The chef even came out to double check we knew what we were getting. I wonder if anyone can guess what it is.
