The inaugural jaunt! 
We decided to head up the coast and although it was windy the sun shone on us....except for a huge downpour mid afternoon, but  we were heading inland so no people or puppies were dampened! 

Started off with a van breakfast looking over the sea at Stonehaven.  Then up to Aberdeen avoiding the ULEZ, and onto Balmedie.
Continuing north we squeezed into the tiny carpark at SlainsCastle which is amazing ... Cannot believe that it's not all cordoned off, with danger signs and inflated ticket prices! 

We intended to get lunch but no one was really hungry so we got snacks instead.
This is Port Errol, we sat and watched some kite surfer dudes.... It was very breezy and they were so very fast!
Also squeezed in a stone circle at East Aquhorthies, nicely signposted too, so easy to find.
