NOTTING HILL

Today we braved a trip to Notting Hill to watch the carnival. I’ve lived in London all my life and mainly due to media coverage I’ve always been too apprehensive to go.

However, it was fabulous. We got there at the start and left about 3. People were really kind and polite. We saw no trouble. (if fact you would probably see more in any city centre on a weekend evening!). We stopped for some food…really tasty and then walked back for the bus along the canal.

People were still arriving as we left and I’m sure it was crazy later. I know they were 250 arrests but with 2million people thats over 990, 000 people doing the right thing and enjoying themselves.

J&D joined us for dinner in the evening…the end to a good day.
