Shrewsbury Folk Fest

My first experience of the Shrewsbury Folk Fest this evening and I absolutely loved it! Wondering now why I haven’t been before.

I got a weekend ticket to help one of my friends who’s running the kids programme - doing a bit of photography.

I’m not really a huge Folk fan so was delighted with the music selection this evening. The London Afrobeat Collective were awesome then a bit of Ladysmith Black Mambazo with a glorious sky behind and then Ganstagrass - a pleasing combination of bluegrass and hip hop.

We had a few nice beers and a burrito. Perfection.

Such an excellent atmosphere, loved it.
