Orgyia Antiqua...

...or Vapourer Moth to you and me...

It's apparently quite common but it's the first time I have ever seen one!  And as often the case, the caterpillar is prettier than the actual moth!  A couple of extras too.

I couldn't get very motivated today and after lunch I was nearly falling asleep...  So I decided I had to get out for a walk rather than sleep!  Over to Braeval near Aberfoyle for a wee wander.  I managed to dodge the rain.  

The trees are definitely starting to turn - some lovely red colours already n the road between Buchlyvie and Aberfoyle.
