Dawg in the water hole

Bank holiday Monday and it was lovely to have a quiet day at home.  I walked W up into the woods for a fairly long time in the morning and he made a bee line for this water hole which I think might be a spring as it dries up slowly and must come from somewhere.  Or it’s just a run off point in the woods.  He loves splashing and slurping up its silty goodness.

Other than that I made a tomato tart for lunch, choosing one farm shop’s tomatoes over another and then getting annoyed with a somewhat vague recipe.

I did a few emails and reading in the barn office and then watered the pots.  V cooked a Nigel Slater stuffed pepper recipe from this weekend’s Observer and then we watched the first two episodes of the EXCELLENT Sherwood on BBC iplayer.

And that’s it!
