Day 6 Christening

Today is the Christening of Surprisling. A very exciting day. I had fun doing a pre-Christening session for Surprisling in his adorable christening outfit, and some shots of Sproutling in his party clothes. Lots of people arrived at the FamilyComplete house quite early. Most exciting of all the visitors for us was the arrival of the Livingbythesea family. The last time was saw them was nearly 2 years ago during our holiday in Lyme Regis. Bless her, Erin said "I don't think I remember you" to me, but ran and gave me a big cuddle anyway. Her and Katie got on like a house on fire.

The church was a very short walk away and the three girls skipped and ran together holding hands. They sat wonderfully all together during the service, colouring in the row behind Mummy and Jane as we sat at the front to do our godmotherly duties. It was a lovely service and Surprisling was a little star. Photos outside the church briefly and it was back to their house for a joint birthday and Christening celebration.

The children were great for the whole day. They played nicely, took turns, ate nicely, were exceptionally cheeky in their adorable ways, and had a lot of fun being reunited. The mummies did too!

When all the other guests had left, Katie, Older Sibling and Sproutling had a splashy bath together before Katie had one more pyjama-clad bounce on the trampoline and played while I packed our case for the final time of our holiday. She went to sleep in bed and didn't even stir when I took her and put her in the meitai to take her for our overnight bus back to London.
