Identification Problems
A trip out to St Cyrus, south of Stonehaven, NE Scotland. Purpose: to make a start on a personal 'Flora Scotica', a collection of photos of Scottish Wildflowers (excluding the most common such as daisy and dandelion...)
Got several good starts to the Collection, but this one provides identification problems: Is it a Common Valerian? What is the wee beetle?
The big thing I learned on this day out was that I should take pictures of the stem, leaves, and anything else that will help identification. This I didn't do, hence the difficulties of identification - and why I didn't crop this photo. So, several views, with one hopeful of a good 'picture' is the future plan.
