Burn a’ Vat revisited

I have been here several times yet I never fail to be impressed by this place which is a giant pothole formed by erosion by boulders carried by melt water at the end of the last ice age. I was pleased that R and M were equally impressed.
We had a picnic lunch in the Scots pine woodlands beyond the “vat” then followed a signposted walk around a big area where we spotted a couple of dragonflies and two toads. Elsewhere on the walk we saw lots of Scotch Argus butterflies.
We concluded a most enjoyable day with a meal at a local hotel, followed by more board games back at the campsite.
