I'm sorry, I can't pay because I've lost my purse, and I know I have a passenger, but he's also lost his wallet, and I've messed up my phone thing because I had contactless turned off to freeze the card, and now I have to wait ten minutes, and I'm sorry Australian lady in a hurry to get to the airport but I can't move as there's nowhere to go.

That, and a below par hotel with good historic credentials in an excellent setting, a nice and unexpected walk with good brambles and Autumn tints, a decent dinner with a good getting-right-into-it discussion. 

I'm exhausted, but OK.
