Resident Scarfie

This view of the slip at 2:30 with the resident scarfie reclaiming the buoy after a selkie and I had vacated the water, bears no resemblance to what it looked like during the  morning. Then the rain was biblical and the sea heaving, horrible enough to cancel the 9am swim. The change in weather after lunch was truly amazing, one extreme to the other in the blink of an eye. I spent the morning in the library reading the autobiography of Billy Connelly and looking out on a gloomy harbour
and the afternoon in the sea and the garden looking out over a blue Hamnavoe to a  sunny Orphir.
