Topsoil for the Grapevines
The preparation for the planting of more grapevines on Meadowbank Station goes on apace.
As I walked the dogs alongside the vineyard boundary this morning a number of trucks were driving onto the property and tipping loads of topsoil onto the stony ground. It is an enormous area of land to cover and will require countless numbers of truckloads to get a good coverage. I will take steps to find out the size of the proposed extensions to the vineyard.
The day started out grey and uninspiring with cloud cover over most of the sky. However the Richmond Range still stood out in its usual blue colours. I have processed today's blip through Nik which has made the image more "punchy". Even so, the colours are pretty well true to life.
This afternoon was almost spring-like with warm balmy sunshine.... Just right!
