Rainbow

One of my favourite local birds is the Rainbow Bee-eater. They are widespread in Australia, but in winter leave southern areas to move north to warmer conditions. They seem happy enough with our climate to stay here over winter. Although our present conditions are far from wintery - it's still August, but today we had an overnight minimum of 20 C and maximum of 26.
