With daughter off to T in the Park today to see Lady Ga Ga and drink cider, I dug out the line-up for 'my first festival'. Blue DMs, check shirt, floppy hair, not a clue in the world...

Her mum and I are typical worried parents. We're dreading getting that tearful phone call saying she's lost all her money, her tent is on fire and she wants to go home. But I'm sure she'll be fine. She'll have the time of her life. And that's pretty scary itself. So rock on, our kid. And take care of yourself. Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you might miss it...
