Wells Cathedral

Up and about reasonably early today, and Mum and I managed a walk into town - and even a coffee at the Bishop's Palace cafe - well before the lunchtime carer came.  Got back to Mum's and had some lunch, and my sister called round to give me my birthday present (which I love - some beautiful resin coasters she handmade for me).  Had a nice quick catch-up with her, including another look at Mum's garden renovations.  While we were out there, Mum's carer came out (under Mum's instructions, and with her phone) to take our photo.  We had a nice chat with her too :)

I got packed up after that, did a couple more small jobs for Mum, and then headed home to Devon.  Had a really good journey (the time seemed to fly by, which was nice), and had time for a bit of a rest before Tim and I walked down into the town to watch the carnival.  The heavens opened for it, and we all got soaked to the skin!  At least we could come home and get warm and dry quite quickly - hope the kids and performers in the carnival could do the same - some of them were very much not dressed for the weather!

Had a game of Scrabble with Tim in the evening.  He thrashed me!
