The usual aqua/sauna for D and me and then I took Jess up into the forest. This beautiful peacock butterfly was fluttering by in front of me, backwards and forwards, until it came to land on the grass and I took a quick pic. How beautiful it is!

I have had conversations with several friends this summer about the dismally few sightings of butterflies in our gardens. Apparently even Jeremy Clarkson is getting alarmed about it. On the same walk today, I saw a darting dragonfly (no idea what kind as I'm no expert). And there are whole clouds of fruit flies in my wormery :-) so here’s hoping…
