Welcome Home

This bronze statue on the Esplanade at Fleetwood celebrates the lives of the town's fishermen and their families. It is the work of sculptor Anita Lafford.

It looks out to sea, but this is the first time I've managed to get of shot of it from this angle, without cars parked directly behind it. There were cars at the side - hence the tight crop. 

It was another grey, dreary day.
