Lost forever

Or so I thought, until I put my jacket around my shoulders to nip to the car in the rain. As if by magic, my earring minus hook, fell to the floor. Luckily on the hall carpet, if it had been outside I guess it would have been gone forever, instead of the past fortnight. To say I was gutted when I first missed it would be an understatement. Worn virtually everyday for the past 5 years.
