2024 Saturday — Before & After
“Before & After” can you see the difference? I did not time us, but I think we cut, chopped, and snipped for 90 to 120 minutes. The vacant lot on the south side of our property; it is owned by the couple who we purchased our house from. We’ve owned our place for 12 years this coming November. We have seen those owners once in 12 years. They do not clear or clean their property.
So we pruned the over-grown shrubbery, mostly a bottle-brush bush. There was also a volunteer pine tree that was out of control. So now we have several piles of twigs and branches that need to be trimmed into small enough pieces so they will fit into the plastic can/bin provided by the waste management company.
My hands took a real beating — wearing gardening gloves and squeezing the snippers a million times aggravated the arthritis in my fingers. So inflamed and painful to bend fingers was the trophy I received for my efforts. Actually once we’ve cleared the debris, the reward is no more encroaching obstacle to our view. The inflammation will subside.
That was the big deal of our Saturday.
Good night from California’s
Central Coast,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
