Sports Day

It was raining as we drove to Wentworth Leisure Centre in Hexham this morning. Luckily our school had hired the outdoor facilities there for our sports day. We have had such bad weather in summer in recent years this seems a sensible alternative to our school field.
On arrival we sheltered from the downpours but then started regardless. The all-weather tartan track meant that the pupils could wizz around safely. Eventually the rain ceased and the whole event became much more enjoyable.
As the relays finished just before three pm everyone, I hope, had had a good day. This pic is of my daughter and friends in their Yr 8 relay race.
