Brandywine Tomato

We are growing Heritage Brandywine tomatoes in our garden plot. 
These are, without doubt, my favorite tomatoes to eat. 
They are big and quite gnarly, so as to be rather homely next to a similar size Beefsteak tomato.
However, no other tomato has the amazing flavor of these Brandywines. 
We picked this one today! 
It's about as big as my two closed fists put together. 
I am salivating as I type this note!
These tomatoes are the ones that John Denver wrote that song about [l'm just speculating ;-) ].
