Indian jewelry market

The Native Americans here in Santa Fe like to be called Indians, so I am not being politically incorrect.
For generations the Navajo Indians have cast lots for the spaces on this covered walk to sell their handmade jewelry. It is such a privilege to meet the creators of each unique piece and to hear them explain with pride just how they crafted the piece.
And of course it is great to justify a purchase with the thought that we are supporting a traditional way of life. I love my new ring!
