Paropsis atomaria
that is what came up when I googled. We had them here as a pest because one day they appeared in droves, left larvae on the leaves and nibbled on all the leaves from a our huge sideroxylon eucalyptus tree. I contacted our gardener, who is also an arborist. He said he needed to do some research, by that time I did the research myself and came upon a great report from the University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources. The best treatment is to do nothing. So we did just that and now they are gone!!!!!!!
