Quod oculus meus videt

Carousel

It was a lovely start to the day, cool in a fresh breeze, but sunny.  I took a quick walk into the playing fields where the fair has been set up, taking the telephoto zoom with me.  This time they have a traditional carousel as one of the rides.  On the ride itself is a plaque saying it was originally built in 1881, refurbished in 1975.  It is a thing of beauty.  The sun was partly lighting the galloping horses as I walked around.

After breakfast it was some work for Blipfoto and a new Blip Central post covering areas of moderation our team still come across in their work.  Then into the garden for some pre-planning on a replacement decking we're looking to install soon.

I was sitting down with the television on in the background when on came The Sound of Music.  I daren't guess how many times I have watched it; I remember my Mum taking me to see it every Monday of the summer school holidays when I was 6.  It has aged well, it will be 60 years since its release next year.
