Interesting morning cloud

It was a good morning up the hill today. I'm torn as to what to put up here, but I think this image wins. I was tempted, especially after receiving Bikerjim's endorsement of yesterday's blip, to go for some colour, and it wasn't bad this morning. However, these streams of cloud over Mt Pleasant were impressive.

I also took a couple of shots of the large radiata pine trees growing along the side of the road. My interest in them has been renewed after seeing the tree growing in its native habitat in Monterey, California. The Monterey trees weren't the straggly weaklings (see here for image from Monterey) I'd been let to expect from stories put around by ?New Zealand breeders, but nevertheless some of our New Zealand grown trees are magnificent specimens, and larger than anything we saw in Monterey.
